It was for my girlfriend.
Play Here

She likes Hello Kitty, the Simpsons, so I wanted to design a game with cartoony character, which is the QQman.

The reason why this game call QQman is because Q sounds like cute, and when you type double Q, they look like naughty eyes.

This is a memory game which will first show you a blinking sequence that you have to memorize, and when it gets to your turn, you have to click on these features as the order of example does.

Faster, Harder, Better!

Each stage you pass, the blinking speed become faster and faster! Also the blinking sequence get longer which means you have to memorize more! If you failed, you can choose start again, or save the stage you failed to play next time from the highest stage.

Play on cellphone

To play this game on cellphone, you can download here:
DownloadNow

You have to install FlashLite on your cellphone to play this game:
Install FlashLite

Rolling Ball Final

Magnetic Ball

The goal is to let the ball hit the target by using arrow keys. Therefore, the ball will roll and move according to the platform angle because of gravity.

The target is located in one grid on the platform, once the ball got to that grid, player win. But if before hitting the goal grid, the ball fall off the platform, or fall into a trap, player lose.

The obstacles serve not only barriers to the path toward the goal, but sometimes places that stop the ball from keeping moving, which can be seen as "rest place", if player knows how to take advantage of them.

At higher level, there will be less obstacle which can prevent player from falling down, and more trap to limit the path that player can take.

Some Memories:
We used to play this game in a small wood box with a glass cover on it, a ball rolling inside of the box. We use our both hands to rotate the box and try to get the ball run through a maze, right into a shallow hole as a target.

To sum up:

- core mechanic:
1) rotate the base sphere
2) ball roll and move

- rules:
1) player click the left button on mouse and hold it, then move the mouse to rotate the bottom sphere, and it automatically change the angle of platform, then create slopes.
2) ball move because gravity creates a slope slipping effect.
3) once player release the left button, he can no longer change the angle of sphere unless he click on it again.
4) if ball reach to the goal, player win;
               5) but if ball fall down from the platform, player lose;
6) else, ball fall into a trap, player lose as well;
7) else, ball hit the wall(obstacle), ball bounce.

- game elements:
1) ball, platform, obstacle, base sphere, trap
2) grid, score, level, timer

- game space:
1) a 3D zone

Level Design

As the picture above, level 1, is a tutorial level of the game, just a player-self-trying introduction. I simply modified the original level2 a little bit to demo the function of wood, bubble brick.

And as picture below, the level 2, I designed a tricky game by two ways:
1) player has to move the rock and place them again and again, and then player can be too exhausted for later tasks.
2) the top row is invisible because it is blocked by the second row from top, so player cannot see it, and has to try and be careful with the feedback from the instruction sign.
